General Information

Pupates in loose earth.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Forewing length: 13-16mm.
Foodplant(s): bedstraws (Galium spp.), Woodruff (Galium odoratum), Bush Vetch (Vicia sepium)
Flying: One generation, May-June
UK Presence: Resident, Possible Immigrant
National status: Local

Habitat

Broadleaved woodland, hedgerows, damp scubby grassland and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 47 (17.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in July 2023
