General Information

Pupates in oak leaf litter.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Male readily comes to light, sometimes in numbers. Female not.

Forewing length: 14-17mm.
Foodplant(s): Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur), Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea)
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Established mature woodland and nearby hedgerow oaks.

Regional Information

Recorded in 44 (16.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
