General Information

The larvae mine the stem and leaves of willowherb, in common with several other Mompha species.


Wingspan: 14-16mm
Foodplant(s): Great Willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum)
Flying: One generation, May-August

Habitat

Stream banks, ditches and other damp areas.

Regional Information

Recorded in 53 (19.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
