General Information

This moth has a cryptic wing pattern with three creamy patches on each forewing.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.

Wingspan: 5-6 mm.
Foodplant(s): Black Poplar (Populus nigra), Italian Poplar (Populus x canadensis), Lombardy Poplar (Populus nigra 'Italica')
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common
