Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 16-21mm.
Foodplant(s): Cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata), Common Couch (Elytrigia repens), grasses, cereal crops
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident

Habitat

Grassland on chalky soils, arable farmland, fens, open woodland, gardens, scrub and heathland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 131 (48.5%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
