General Information

The larvae form a blotch mine on the underside of a leaf causing creases in the lower epidermis of the leaf.


Wingspan: 7-9mm
Foodplant(s): birches (Betula spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common
