Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.
Often disturbed during day

Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.), birches (Betula spp.), Beech (Fagus sylvatica), Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus), pines (Pinus spp.), Yew (Taxus baccata), broadleaved shrubs

Broadleaved and mixed woodland.
