Pupates on or in the ground.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.
Often disturbed during day

Forewing length: 18-21mm.
Foodplant(s): Tufted Vetch (Vicia cracca), Marsh Pea (Lathyrus palustris), Wild Liquorice (Astragalus glycyphyllos)
Flying: One generation, mid June-mid July
UK Presence: Resident

Habitat

Fens, marshes, coastal grassland, scrubby areas and heathland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 45 (16.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
