General Information

Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 14-18mm.
Foodplant(s): goosefoots (Chenopodium spp.), Common Orache (Atriplex patula), Onion (Allium cepa), herbaceous plants
Flying: Two generations, mid April-June and August-September
UK Presence: Resident, Possible Immigrant
National status: Common

Habitat

Wasteground, agricultural land, heathland, fens, woodland, scrub, grassland and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 117 (43.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
