General Information

Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Forewing length: 13-15mm.
Foodplant(s): sallows (Salix spp.), willows (Salix spp.), Black Poplar (Populus nigra)
Flying: One generation, late July-early September
UK Presence: Resident

Habitat

Damp woodland, fens, riverbanks and marshes.

Regional Information

Recorded in 2 (0.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in July 1995
