This moth has a coarsely-scaled appearance.


Wingspan: 5-6 mm.
Foodplant(s): Perforate St John's-wort (Hypericum perforatum), St John's-worts (Hypericum spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Woodland and hedgerows.

Regional Information

Recorded in 60 (22.2%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in July 2022
